Don Reiman is a long-time friend and mentor who could easily qualify for Most Interesting Man Alive - a former firefighter who became a successful entrepreneur, a pilot, a cyclist, an outdoorsman, and much more. Those make Don interesting but what makes him unique is his razor-sharp mind and curious soul.
In this episode, Don and I discuss one of our many shared interests: politics. Independents and moderates from the two major parties make up, by far, the largest voting bloc in the US. Yet they are the most under-represented large group. Don refers to this group as the Rational Majority.
During our visit, we both answered the following:
What are the causal roots of extremism in the US?
What is one problem/issue that the Rational Majority wants to be addressed and how would you go about addressing it?
As it relates to politics and the social landscape, what are you hopeful about?
