Hello, friends!
Welcome to the first edition of Saturday Summations, a weekly recap of what I created, what caught my eye (or ear), some links to know about, and some occasional opinions.
Musing of the Week
On a daily-ish basis, I post a musing to my Instagram. Musings typically sprout from a seed of a thought, idea, or epiphany that is written as a blend of poetry and mini-essay.
“Love kills the ego and all it represents …
fear, pretense, projection, comparison, hardness, control.
No wonder the ego is terrified of Love.”

Quote of the Week
“Make your ego porous. Will is of little importance, complaining is nothing, fame is nothing. Openness, patience, receptivity, solitude is everything.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke
Opinions
Noting the date of this first Summation …
If you eliminate the political braying and bloviating, the Jan 6 federal investigation is exactly what it appears to be: a matter of criminal law and constitutional law. From false electors to pressuring Secretaries of State to spreading disinformation, this was a concentrated effort by the executive brand, members of Congress, and militant right-wing groups to overturn an election. That was the insurrection. The Jan 6 attack on the capitol was the result of this larger insurrection, not its cause.
On college football…
Most of the people complaining about NILs and the transfer portal also claim to be free market capitalists. This is also part of the evolution of college football to be what it has been all along, a business.
Links of Note
My friend, Stacy Ennis, is a brilliant author coach and one of the most generous people I know. Her next Ideas-to-Draft Accelerator starts Jan 23. I know several people who’ve gone through Stacy’s program and rave about the content, the support, and the output. Learn more here.
My great friend, Mike Green, is offering a very unique experience that blends group leadership coaching with wilderness adventure. It’s called the Alaskan Personal Expansion Project. I had a similar experience with Mike in 2017 that was life-changing. Learn more here.
An Ask
As mentioned in my end-of-year recap, Massive is going to be doing big things in 2024!
Here’s our ask: we need to know more conscious business leaders! If you know of someone we should know, please introduce me via email (justin@massivechange.co) or on LinkedIn. They don’t have to be direct prospects. We just want to meet other business leaders with similar values and mindsets. We would also love a heads-up on any conferences or business groups that we should know about.
How can I support you?
The Third Way is a growing community of free-thinkers, creatives, mystics, and misfits and I want to support each of you however I can! To that end, I’ve created a Community Support Request form. Have a need or request? Just ask!
