We often refer to us humans as dichotomous; as split creatures that are part animal, part divine. I would propose that we are actually trichotomous: body, spirit, mind. For the sake of this essay, let’s assume that “spirit” includes both soul and heart. Mostly because quadotomous is hard to say!
