Agitation & Amalgamation
Update on Massive:
"The first step in tackling a complex problem is to simplify." - Dr. Virginia Lacayo
We have decided to focus on Virginia’s Intersectional Leader program as the primary offering from Massive. We believe it will make the most immediate impact and is most needed in the world right now; especially with versions of it for both corporate and non-profit. Since I won't be doing as much client delivery for Massive, I will be amplifying my role as Agitator of White People 😅 as it relates to systemic injustices, conscious business, ethical marketing, etc.
Announcement of a new venture:
“Strategy is a commodity, execution is an art.” – Peter Drucker
I’m also excited to announce that I have joined The Fractional XO (fXO) as a part-owner and Chief Marketing Officer! I’ve known Jeremy for many years and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be a part of what he is building. Reflective of the combined values and skills of Jeremy, Ron Martin, and myself, fXO is doing something truly unique in the very crowded space of business consulting and coaching: becoming a true force multiplier for CEOs and founders.
We believe that strategy is theory, but execution is reality. And that traditional org charts are often velocity-killers - especially for start-ups. Using a model adapted from the US military role of XO, we place fractional XOs to act as second-in-commands for CEOs whose big vision is getting punched in the face by reality - especially related to maxed out acumen and resources. Just as an XO is a military commanding officer's #2, our XOs are empowered with the authority to do whatever is necessary to execute a strategy.
In addition to serving as fXO’s CMO, I am also providing branding and marketing services to our clients. This folder contains my two current offerings through fXO:
CMO services deck (Ideal client is a CEO/founder looking for a “starter” CMO)
Thought Leader Accelerator (Ideal client is a CEO who wants to create a personal brand adjacent to their business brand or a company with a sales/business development team)
The folder also contains an overview of the types of founders and CEOs we want to work with. All intros are deeply appreciated!
We've already produced a solid foundation of thoughtful content but there's so much more to come - so please follow fXO on LinkedIn and be sure to add your email to our list.
As I mentioned to someone the other day, both Massive and fXO are working on a similar problem for leaders just in different ways: how to keep your ego in check so that you can be more collaborative, more systemic, and so that you can make a greater impact.
Many thanks!
Justin
