I love this honoring of both science and spirituality/old ways of knowing Justin. And written so clearly and eloquently. You've put words to my way of being in the world. I have always felt a little bemused by my own holding of both, but your essay makes sense of it and gives me permission, thank you ❤️🌳

Wow great piece! I’m probably quite similar. I label myself as Pragmatic Spirituality and, in fact, offer chakra balancing therapy consults within the more medically connected realm that positions the chakras on or at or near a corresponding endocrine system gland. I see the chakras as subtle energy transducers which perceive and experience the external world and its stimulants and transduce them into emotional chemical cocktails that correspond with how we are taught to move in the world. Balancing involves an intersection of the physical and metaphysical, with intentional action associated in each domain. Your posts adds more context and nuance and texture to the convo, so thanks.
